Schoepfle Gardens

I am in the midst of taking a 12-week photography class with the Cleveland Photographic Society and I couldn’t be more excited about it! My husband bought me a nice Nikon DSLR camera three years ago, and while I’ve been able to manage navigating around it fairly well, I figured it was time to really get into the meat & potatoes, so to speak, of the capabilities of the camera. I knew I was in the right type of class for my expectations when after the first session the instructor said we will never shoot in “Auto” again, not that it was my go-to mode anyways!

It has cooled off into beautiful fall weather and we spent the evening at Schoepfle Gardens in Birmingham yesterday. I had some photography homework to work on, and the gardens provided the best practice.  We’re not doing anything fancy yet, but some simple exercises practicing aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings. I so looking forward to learning more!
