Fresh from the greenhouse

My husband brought home this gorgeous phaleanopsis orchid planter fresh from his work’s greenhouse and I cannot get over how gorgeous they are!

Unfortunately, and surprisingly, Phaleanopsis orchids don’t give off any fragrance but I’ll take the sheer beauty of them on my table any day. These are the easiest plants to keep alive – just 3 ice cubes per week (for each plant) and some indirect sunlight away from any drafts. The blooms can last up to 3-4 months, the perfect statement centerpiece for our summer dinners.

I must say, I am thoroughly loving (and slightly jealous) of the fact he works amongst such beautiful flowers and live plants and get to bring home all kinds of samples for us to enjoy. Keep ’em coming, babe!
