Today we spent the morning at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s 23rd annual Chalk Walk Festival and we had so much fun! We packed our own picnic lunch and ate together in the museum’s new atrium, the perfect start to our outing. It was a great chilly fall day but the sun was shining and the rain held off for us. We purchased a small square for $8 and it came with a set of 12 color pastel chalk for us to create whatever our hearts desired. We started off with a butterfly and ended up with a colorful sidewalk tribute to saving our earth.
By the time we left early afternoon, Wade Oval downtown Cleveland was beginning to look like a beautiful masterpiece! The museum hired 8 professional chalk artists that were out of this world crazy good and families were creating such wonderfully thought-out art. It was a creative, inspiring event that my whole family enjoyed and we’re looking forward to making it a tradition each fall!
