The Art in Nature

I am in love with Spanish artist Lorenzo Durán’s leaf art cut-aways for the fresh start of this autumn season. He washes, dries and presses real leaves and uses a very precise cutting technique to create intricate canvases out of nature’s beauty. His inspiration is the work of ancient Chinese and Japanese artists and Duran believes that every natural object and living thing has art present in its pure essence – what a beautiful concept!

“The colors of a butterfly, mineral crystal, the majestic tree, are a form of art that delights us with the senses and a good way to experience the creativity that is in nature.”

Who wouldn’t love a framed collection of these on your living room wall?
