I do understand that God gave humans “dominion” over animals, but I don’t quite think this is what He had in mind. Even though I already don’t eat a lot of meats, this is seriously making me question eating any at all.

I love these lyrics by Chris Tomlin because this song is about listening and listening is so very important. I need to take the time to do more of that each day. Listening is essential in understanding what God wants us to do with our lives and talents and it can be so hard to hear when there are so many distractions. This song reminds me of one of my favorite church hymns growing up, “Here I am Lord” because they are both about hearing your calling, rising up to God’s plan for you.
“Here I am Lord. Is it I Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me.”

I know this song is a few years old, but I’m loving it all over again! I heard that Darlene has new stuff coming out in July, which is exciting. This is the type of song I listen to and sing along with very loudly in my car when no one is around!
He seemed like such a good guy during Season 8 of American Idol when he won the whole thing, but this video makes me respect Kris Allen even more. Nothing is better than people who live their life with passion!
This is a beautiful song and a powerful perfomance by the wonderful Kari Jobe. Everyone needs some God in their day.
