Welcome! My name is Katherine and somehow you have managed to stumble upon my blog, Passion & Paint. The meaning behind Passion & Paint is two-fold: life was meant to be lived with passion & love and nothing great or meaningful can be accomplished without it. I believe everyone has a thread of creativity in them and most people are afraid to step out of their comfort zone to use it because they aren’t open to the possibilities of art. With the right outlet, anyone can set free the inner-child to experience the world of color & creativity – they just need a spark of passion, the right paints, and a bit of encouragement!
As someone who has always had a creative bug in me, I pursued graphic arts and art history in college and my education sparked a love of art in me. I really enjoy working with materials or an empty canvas and working with it to transform it into something new. After graduating in 2007, it was time for me to lace up my shoes and join the real world. By day, I am a professional in the marketing & advertising industry, which provides a regular outlet for my ideas and creativity. By night, inspiration takes over and I always seem to have a new project I’m sinking my teeth into.
